Open Evening, 17 September
We know that attending an open evening is a big part of making a decision about which secondary school you attend. This event is an opportunity for Year 6 students and their parents/carers to join us at Westfield School on Thursday 17 September 2026 to see our school for yourselves.
During the evening you will have the chance to:
- Hear from our Headteacher and leadership team.
- Hear about our curriculum, how we teach, how we support students and what our ethos and values are.
- Have a tour of the school.
- Meet staff and students.
- Take part in activities as you view the school.
To attend, please book one of the sessions: at 4.30pm or 5.30pm.
Due to the popularity of our open evenings, we have limited tickets to 3 per family.
How to apply to Westfield School
For entry in Year 7, September 2027
- July: application packs issued by Sheffield Local Authority to all parents/carers of children due to enter Year 7 in September.
- 17 September: Westfield School Year 6 Open Evening.
- 31 October: deadline for making paper form applications.
- 1 March: offer day. Online applications will be notified by email, paper and telephone applications will be notified by letter to home address.
We follow the admissions arrangements run by Sheffield City Council. Their admissions policy in full (including arrangements for selection, over subscription criteria, appeals, the application process and in-year transfers) can be accessed on the Sheffield City Council website, where you can also apply for a school place at Westfield School.
