From exciting sporting events to engaging learning experiences in the classroom, our students continue to demonstrate enthusiasm, resilience, and a real commitment to doing their best. In this week’s newsletter, we are delighted to share some of the highlights and celebrate the fantastic efforts our students.

Parent/Carer Information Evenings
Our two recent Parent/Carer information evenings were well attended by over 70% of families in each year group. I hope you found the evenings helpful; they are an essential part of our home school communications.
Payments for Lunch – Issue – Thank you for your patience
We are experiencing an issue with the payment process for cashless lunch payments, this is a technical issue related to how the payments are transferred between parents and the providers. We are working with our Catering services providers to resolve this issue and thank everyone for their patience. Catering staff have been instructed to ensure that everyone is able to have their lunch today as we continue to fix the problem.
Good news stories
U14 Girls Crowned Sheffield Champions!
We are thrilled to share some fantastic news from the sports field—our U14 Girls’ Football Team have been crowned Sheffield City Champions after winning the Sheffield Cup!
In an exciting final played last night against Tapton, both teams demonstrated excellent skill, determination, and sportsmanship. It was a competitive and entertaining match from start to finish, but our girls showed real composure and quality when it mattered most, securing a 3–0 victory.
This is a truly outstanding achievement and one that is thoroughly deserved. The team’s hard work, commitment, and teamwork throughout the season have paid off in the best possible way.
We are incredibly proud of every player involved—congratulations on a memorable success!
KS1 Ball Skills Festival a Fantastic Success
On Friday, 26 of our dedicated Sports Leaders proudly hosted the annual KS1 Ball Skills Festival here at Westfield—and what a brilliant event it was!
For the first time, the festival took place outdoors, making the most of the glorious sunshine. This allowed four schools from our Family of Schools to attend with full classes, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere throughout the day. In total, over 100 young students took part, enjoying a range of fun, engaging activities designed to develop their ball skills.
Our Sports Leaders were outstanding, demonstrating excellent leadership, enthusiasm, and care as they supported and encouraged every participant. Their ability to create a welcoming and inclusive environment truly showcased their commitment to helping younger students grow in confidence and ability.
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Beighton Infants, Waterthorpe Infants, Mosborough Primary, and Halfway Infants for joining us and contributing to such a fantastic afternoon.
Finally, a huge well done to our Sports Leaders for their continued dedication, drive, and ambition. Events like this highlight the positive impact they have across our Family of Schools, and we are incredibly proud of them all.
