School Newsletter
Good afternoon,
I can hardly believe we’re just two weeks away from the half-term break! This first term has flown by, and there’s still plenty happening before we all get a well-earned rest. The next couple of weeks are set to be busy but exciting, with lots of events, activities, and opportunities for our pupils to enjoy.
Thank you for all your support so far this term — it really does make such a difference.
Information for Parents/Carers of All Years

You can do this, or we can do this on your behalf through the following link https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/schools-childcare/school-meals If you need help to do this then please contact enquiries@westfield.chorustrust.org where your enquiry will be treated as confidential and someone will contact you to discuss how we can help.

Good news stories
Sporting Success
One of our Year 9 students, Beau, is part of the Doncaster Bells U14 Academy team and they will be playing the JPL National this season, so it's very exciting. She is working hard at her football and Beau has also represented the Yorkshire team in Orienteering a who came second to Scotland. Beau is also trialling for the England team this year, she is currently in a top 4 position with one race to go!
The year 9 netball team played in their first league meet on Wednesday at Tapton school, where they played three games. They lost two but won 12-1 against Tapton 3, an amazing achievement. The girls were a credit to the school and loved every minute.
European Day of Languages – A Week of Fun, Food, and Fundraising!
At the end of September our school came alive with colour, creativity, and culture as we celebrated European Day of Languages! It was a fantastic opportunity for students to explore the rich diversity of languages spoken throughout the world and to have a lot of fun along the way.
One of the highlights was our exciting Language Treasure Hunt, which saw pupils racing around the school to solve clues and learn some simple words in a variety of languages. The enthusiasm and teamwork on display were wonderful to see.
In addition, we hosted a Bake Sale in support of Macmillan Cancer Research. Thank you to everyone who donated—it was a fantastic success for a very worthy cause.
To top it all off, we held a Language-Themed Bake-Off competition. Students impressed us with their creativity, designing cakes inspired by languages and cultures from across the world. The entries were very imaginative!
A huge well done to all our students for taking part so enthusiastically, and a big thank you to staff and families for supporting the week.
