  • Westfield School students celebrate GCSE results

Westfield School students are celebrating today as they opened their GCSE and Level 2 vocational qualification results.

A total of 265 students sat exams across 19 different subjects this year. The Class of 2026 should be proud of the hard work and determination it took for them to receive the results they have today. The greatest successes for Westfield School were seen in Art, Chemistry, Drama and Physics.

Particular congratulations go to the two students who opened their envelopes to find they had achieved Grades 7 to 9 in every subject.

Headteacher Gaynor Jones said: “I am so proud of our Year 11 students. They are an amazing group of young people, who have worked incredibly hard to achieve their results. I’d like to thank them for bringing such energy and enthusiasm to the Westfield community; they have been wonderful role models for our younger students. We are delighted that the vast majority of our students will be able to take up their first choice of post-16 destination.

“My thanks also go to their families and our staff who have supported them throughout their time at Westfield. We wish them the best of luck, whether they are headed to sixth form, college or into an apprenticeship.”
