School Newsletter

Published on 07/07/25

Good afternoon,

Thank you to everyone in our school community for the support we have received over the past weeks; It has been a difficult time for us all. We feel proud of our school community and send our love to the family of our much missed Year 7 student – she is always in our thoughts.

As we approach the final weeks of the summer term, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on what has been a truly rewarding and eventful year at Westfield School.

Our pupils have shown remarkable progress, resilience, and enthusiasm across all areas of school life. From academic milestones to creative and sporting achievements, it has been a joy to witness their growth and celebrate their successes. I am incredibly proud of how our school community has come together to support one another, and I thank you all for the continued partnership and encouragement you provide.

The final weeks of term are filled with special moments – from activity days, sports days, Year 6 transition days, celebration events and, of course, saying a fond farewell to our Year 11 pupils as they prepare to move on to new adventures.

Thank you once again for being such a vital part of our school community. I hope you enjoy reading about the latest news and upcoming events as we bring this term to a close.

We are looking forward to the Year 11 Prom on 10th July 2025 when we will see our Y11s and celebrate their time at Westfield School.

Schools Games Mark – Gold 2024/25

Brook House Sports Day

Our Westfield Sports Leaders recently ran a whole school sports day for Brook House Junior School. Over 350 children experienced a multi skill festival with an athletics base and tried their best to score as many points as possible for their Hall. Our Sports Leaders were fantastic on the day, showcasing what it truly means to help the next generation of young people in the community. Each leader had a responsibility for one multi skill station, to demonstrate, support and score each rotation, as well as encourage children to try their very best.

It was a really pleasing to see ex Brook House students going back to their primary school and performing to a very high standard. Thank you to Brook House School for allowing our Leaders to run the sports day and for all the Leaders involved in the event, you have all been fantastic this year and you are making a difference in your community.

Family of Schools Picnic

We recently hosted the School Council Picnic for our family of schools. Students were invited to celebrate all their wonderful achievements over the year for their schools. Westfield Sports Leaders ran several events for the children to have fun and experience new sports. Our Student Leaders were very welcoming, helped out when needed and ensured fun was had by all at the event. Thank you to every school that attended, as well as the 14 Sports Leaders for their engagement throughout.
